This Colombian Supremo has been decaffeinated using the CO2 method (technically called supercritical fluid extraction - yikes!). The CO2 method is a great way to remove caffeine because it uses no harmful substances but, since the liquid / gas is pressurized, it is much more effective than water.
Tasting Notes: A spicy, sweet, creamy nose with scents of candied fruit and ginger snaps. Reminiscent of a Christmas market with exotic scents of five spice and anistar. Soft and winey acidity with a full body. Earthy tones and a smooth, dark chocolate finish.
